Godwin Pumps, manufacturer and supplier of the Dri-Prime automatic self-priming pump, announced the appointment of Per Ohstrom as its vice president of worldwide marketing and business development, based at the company’s Bridgeport, N.J., world headquarters.

“With over 15 years of experience in industrial product and service marketing and business development, Per will be relied upon to drive Godwin’s worldwide profitable growth and continued customer satisfaction,” said Godwin president Michel Bakhos.

Joining Godwin from RSC Equipment Rental, where he served as the vice president of marketing, Ohstrom grew revenue with new, value-added services and promotions--adding 4,000 new accounts and $10 million worth of sales in his two-year tenure there. In addition, Ohstrom was responsible for a $51-million retail product range and merchandising in 450 branch locations. Prior to RSC, he previously provided marketing leadership at companies including Hagemeyer North America, CHEP, Rohm and Haas and International Paper.

Ohstrom holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Lulea University of Technology (Sweden) and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University.

Ohstrom will report directly to Bakhos and will oversee Godwin’s marketing, communications, training, product management and worldwide business development and market management.
