Global Water Technologies Applies for American Stock Exchange Listing

Aug. 10, 2001

Global Water Technologies, Inc., a full-service cooling water treatment company utilizing advanced technologies and engineered solutions to provide process cooling water to power plants, process industries and municipalities worldwide, announced that it has submitted its application for listing on the American Stock Exchange.

The Company's stock currently trades on the OTCBB under the symbol GWTR.

Commenting on the news, George Kast, president and chief executive officer, stated, "We are continuing to move the company forward and this is another milestone that should increase the awareness and exposure of our company's securities to a broader market place. This will enable us to attract institutional and other equity investors who usually do not invest in securities on the OTC exchange, or who cannot invest in companies unless they are listed on a National Exchange. If our application is accepted, we look forward to being associated with other leading firms who trade on the American Stock Exchange and continue to create shareholder value."
