George Fischer Piping Systems has been presented with a Texas Instruments (TI) 2002 Supplier Excellence Award. The award, given annually, honors firms whose dedication and commitment in supplying products and services meet TI's high standards for excellence. Recipients are an elite group of suppliers chosen for their exemplary performance in the areas of Cost, Environmental Responsibility, Technology, Responsiveness, Assurance of Supply, and Quality (CETRAQ).

"Texas Instruments has benefited from the long term relationship with George Fischer. Through their outstanding support of both large and small projects as well as helping develop cost effective solutions for new applications they have been key in helping us meet the demands of our dynamic manufacturing environment," said Lewis McMahan, Vice President, Manager World Wide Facilities of TI.

George Fischer Piping Systems was awarded for its good performance as supplier of high purity piping systems and components for installations in Texas Instruments plants.

"We take great pride in the fact that we are one of only 29 selected companies for the year 2002 from TI's total of over 31,000 suppliers," said Chris Blumer, President & CEO of George Fischer, Inc., Tustin.

TI established its Supplier Excellence Awards in 1983 as a way to honor businesses that had provided exemplary service. The award is a vehicle for communicating the standards the company expects of its suppliers.
