Steve Dixon, CFO of Fluidmaster Inc., based in San Juan Capistrano, Calif., was named Orange County CFO of the Year – Private Company at the Orange County Business Journal’s 7th Annual CFO of the Year Awards ceremony.
“Steve is a partner to all of us in this business—in fact sometimes we forget he is our CFO. He is a disciple of our strategy and allows us to turn strategy into reality. Additionally, his warm and humble personality makes him a favorite throughout the Fluidmaster team,” said Todd Talbot, president of Fluidmaster. “I can tell you I’m the most fortunate Company President in Orange County having Steve by my side.”
Dixon was recognized along with 50 other CFOs after being nominated by his Fluidmaster and business colleagues as a result of the impact he has made from a financial operations and business perspective. In the past two years, he has helped lead the acquisition of two companies in the U.K. and another in Slovenia, overseen the implementation of a new ERP system and assisted in improving the company’s bottom-line results.
“Steve is one of the key members of the Fluidmaster organization and has contributed immensely to the strength and growth of the company over the past few years,” said Doug Edwards, Fluidmaster board member. “He is actively involved in numerous community and Orange County organizations as well as a strong supporter of global youth missionary work, generously giving his time and donations to many of these activities.”
Dixon has a B.S in accounting from Bucknell University and an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. Originally from Malvern, Pa., he is a 15-year resident of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., together with his wife Nancy and children Colin, Kyle and Hannah.
