Milwaukee-based facility features largest indoor flowmeter testing facility

Badger Meter Inc. announced the opening of its new Customer Experience Center (CEC) located at its corporate headquarters in Milwaukee. The new $5.5-million, 38,000-sq-ft facility exhibits the company’s technology, broad flow measurement product line and sustainability efforts. It includes the largest indoor flowmeter testing facility in North America. It also features a 300-seat auditorium and several training and conference rooms.

“The new Customer Experience Center shows how we can meet the flow measurement needs of our municipal water and flow instrumentation customers through an interactive experience focused on products, markets and capabilities,” said Richard A. Meeusen, chairman, president and CEO of Badger Meter. “We want customers to see how our products are made and tested and why they are the best in the market.”

The new facility features interacive touch-screen stations, short videos and a greeting theme of “Every Drop Counts.” Customers can learn more about the company’s product portfolio and tour the indoor flowmeter testing facility used for product development and product testing.

“Our engineering and testing capabilities are the foundation of our industry leadership. They ensure the accuracy and reliability of our products and the high quality of our manufacturing,” Meeusen said.

Meeusen said the new CEC will be used for customer meetings, training sessions and conferences, as well as for employee meetings, tours and local events. The renovation of existing space for the new facility also included creating a fitness center for company employees.

“Badger Meter has been headquartered in Milwaukee since its founding in 1905. We believe our investment in the new CEC is an investment in our company and our community that will benefit our customers, employees and shareholders for many years to come,” Meeusen said.
