MICRODYN-NADIR to offer full range of membrane filtration products

MICRODYN-NADIR announced the acquisition of the specialty membrane company TriSep Corp. The Goleta, Calif.-based company has experience in the area of reverse osmosis and nanofiltration and customizes solutions for their customer base. The acquisition will allow MICRODYN-NADIR to offer a range of membrane filtration products.

Customers will benefit from having one membrane supplier to meet all of their requirements. The expanded MICRODYN-NADIR can provide all four cornerstone filtration technologies—microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis. MICRODYN-NADIR is the water treatment unit of global filtration group MANN+HUMMEL.

“This is a strategic purchase to increase MICRODYN-NADIR’s capability to service the water treatment market and process separations, not only across North America, but around the world,” said Walter Lamparter, CEO of MICRODYN-NADIR. “Pooling our expertise with the strengths of TriSep will be easy, because we have been working well with each other for almost 20 years. It’s a tried, tested and true partnership that will enable us to accelerate our growth in the water filtration business.”

TriSep will continue operating under the leadership of Peter Knappe, TriSep’s president, as managing director of TriSep, reporting to Lamparter. The acquisition increases MICRODYN-NADIR’s product offerings and its global reach in the dairy, food, beverage, and pharmaceutical markets, as well as municipal and industrial water/wastewater treatment.

The acquisition announcement was made during WEFTEC.16 in New Orleans.
