The World Water Congress & Exhibition 2016 was presented by the International Water Assn. (IWA) Oct. 9 to 14 in Brisbane, Australia. More than 5,000 water industry professionals from more than 100 countries attended the gathering, where the IWA launched a number of initiatives designed to help combat water loss and raise awareness of water scarcity and inequality. Attendees discussed industry-wide trends and learned about progressive water-saving technology, and the IWA presented its Project Innovation Awards to utilities from China, Australia and South Africa.
