Utility Leaders Gather at Aclara Client Conference

April 22, 2013
Attendees will drive the company’s product vision and learn about its new developments

More than 650 utility customers will gather the annual Aclara Client Conference at the Marriott Kansas City Downtown in Kansas City, Mo. Those attending the event, which marks its fifth year, will drive the company’s product vision as well as learn about the company’s new developments in advanced metering infrastructure, cellular technology, consumer engagement solutions and mobile applications. Aclara Technologies LLC is a provider of intelligent infrastructure technologies for water, gas and electric utilities and is part of the Utility Solutions Group of ESCO Technologies Inc. The conference runs April 22 to 25.

The conference’s keynote speaker, Erik Wahl, will illustrate the conference’s theme, Tap Your Creative Vision, with his on-stage painting. The internationally known graffiti artist and entrepreneur will create an on-stage work of art to illustrate his core message — that organizations can be more profitable through innovation and superior performance.

Aclara’s technologies always take front and center at the client conference. This year, the company will feature its enhanced TWACS (eTWACS) technology, which offers clients dramatically increased meter-data throughput, and its Metrum Cellular solution, which provides high-bandwidth and low-latency communications directly to the meter. Other activities include a Tuesday night special event at Cabela’s sports outfitter, the Hollywood Casino and the Howl at the Moon piano bar, as well as golf and Texas Hold ‘Em Poker tournaments.
