Harley-Davidson Museum hosts 2019 Water Leaders Summit June 26 & 27

The Water Council’s Water Leaders Summit will be held June 26 to 27 at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee. The summit is an annual water industry conference that hosts water business leaders, governmental entities, academics, entrepreneurs and futurists for conversations about global water challenges and the future of water innovation.

According to The Water Council, the summit is “the preeminent North American water industry event for water professionals from water technology organizations and water-intensive industries who are seeking to hear from global experts in an intimate and ‘unscripted’ program.”

The Water Leaders Summit began in 2007 as an annual forum to connect leaders in the industry to exchange ideas, share experiences, advance goals, connect with solution-providers and shape the future of water technology. Participants from past years include leaders from Campbell Soup Co., Ford Motors, DOW Chemical, Ecolab, United Nations, NASA, UC Berkeley, San Diego County Water Authority, Merck, General Mills, U.S. EPA, U.S. Small Business Administration, Walmart, IBM and MillerCoors.

“I go to a lot of water conferences. I took more notes in a day in a half at this one then I have in 20 years at the other ones,” said Guy Carpenter, vice president at Carollo Engineers Inc. to The Water Council. “It was very helpful, as I’m responsible for business development for our company for industrial clients in the Great Lakes states. So, it could not have been more tailor made for me.”

Attendees from past years come from across the globe, including Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, France, Canada and South Korea, as well as multiple U.S. states. Those encouraged to attend include water technology businesses, water-intensive industries, utilities, governments, universities, media, nonprofits, and more.
