Energy, water and telecommunications leaders will discuss challenges and opportunities

Three senior leaders of Black & Veatch will present on the emerging nexus of energy, water and telecommunications during the Annual Conference of the American Society of Public Administrators (ASPA) in Las Vegas on March 5 from 12:15 to 1:45 p.m. Pacific Time. Black & Veatch presenters are Dean Oskvig, president and CEO, global energy business; Martin Travers, president of the telecommunications division; and Cindy Wallis-Lage, president, global water business. The panel is entitled, “Building Smart Communities: Understanding the nexus of water, energy and telecommunications.”

Miles O’Brien, lead science reporter for PBS NewsHour, will moderate the session.

The Black & Veatch executives will explain the challenges and opportunities that public administrators must address to plan for tomorrow’s communities. Meeting the demand for energy, water and telecommunications services are among the most important challenges for today’s municipalities, county governments and academic institutions.
