EPA Distributes More ARRA Funding for Water Infrastructure

New round of funding distribution impacts several states

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced a new round of distribution of funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) to several states for water infrastructure projects.

The latest recipients of funding were the following:
• Arkansas: $259,000;
• Florida: $88 million;
• Montana: $38.9 million;
• New Mexico: $194,300;
• Illinois: $257 million;
• Ohio: $279 million;
• Iowa: $24 million;
• Minnesota: $107 million;
• Utah: $19.5 million;
• Connecticut: $19.5 million; and
• North Dakota: $19.7 million.

The funding was distributed between each state’s Clean Water State Revolving Fund and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund in various balances, depending on each state’s needs.
