Waggoner Eng. Adds Project Manager

Michael Slack will be a project manager in the firm’s Planning and Special Programs Div.

Waggoner Eng., a full-service economic development, project management and engineering firm with headquarters in Jackson, Miss., announced the addition of Michael Slack, P.E., BCEE as a new project manager in the firm’s Planning and Special Programs Div.

In this role, Slack will focus on environmental engineering and resource management projects.

“Michael has shown strong leadership in his prior experience serving in roles such as the on-scene coordinator for the BP Oil Spill Response for the state of Mississippi,” said Jim Hust, P.E., president of Waggoner Eng. “He is a highly accomplished engineer and we are thrilled to have him join the Waggoner team.”

Slack most recently served as Environmental Engineer IV in the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality’s Office of Pollution Control, Groundwater Assessment and Remediation Div. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Louisiana Tech University and a master’s degree in environmental engineering from the University of Mississippi. He is also a licensed professional engineer and a board certified environmental engineer.
