F.W. Webb Acquires Watertown Supply

The company has been re-branded to “Watertown Supply, a Div. of F.W. Webb Co."

F.W. Webb Co., the largest wholesale supplier of plumbing, heating, cooling and industrial polyvinyl fluoride (PVF) in the Northeast, announced the acquisition of Watertown Supply.

For more than 65 years and three generations, Watertown Supply has specialized in plumbing and heating with a primary focus on repair parts for the trades, and for commercial, industrial and institutional facilities management. Watertown Supply stocks more than 64,000 products and offers genuine manufacturers repair parts.

“Watertown Supply is a reputable company with more than six decades of providing exceptional service to industry professionals locally and beyond,” said Jeff Pope, president, F.W. Webb. “Adding Watertown Supply strengthens our company’s position in replacement parts and builds upon F.W. Webb’s expertise to better serve our customers. Being a long-standing family business with New England roots and similar values, Watertown Supply is a natural fit for F.W. Webb.”

Following the acquisition, the company has been re-branded to “Watertown Supply, a Div. of F.W. Webb Co.” It will continue to operate at its location in Watertown, Mass. In addition to the core parts replacement business, services available at the Watertown Supply location include repair kits, inventory management and locating hard-to-find discontinued parts. F.W. Webb will expand Watertown’s inventory providing Boston-area customers with an additional convenient location and all of Webb’s products and services.

“When we looked at selling our business, we wanted to find a company that shared our same commitment to going the extra mile for our customers, and F.W. Webb fit the bill,” Jim Tragakis, president of Watertown Supply said. “This is an opportunity to join a company with nearly 150 years of service to the industry and to bring additional value to Watertown Supply customers.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
