Draeger Safety Names Praxair as N. American Distributor

Praxair, Inc. has announced that its subsidiary Praxair Distribution, Inc. has signed an agreement with the Draeger Safety Technology Group, a division of Draegerwerk AG, to distribute the company's wide range of safety products in the United States and Canada.

"Draeger Safety technology is a good fit with Praxair's specialty gases and equipment expertise, and an important enhancement to our total solutions capabilities," said Tom Archie, Praxair Distribution's business director, specialty gases, North America. "Since safety is Praxair's top priority for our employees, our customers and the communities in which we live and work, we're excited about being a single source to help our customers develop and maintain an equally safe work environment."

Draeger Safety has gradually evolved from product to systems provider, supplying its customers with complete safety management designed to protect and maintain safe breathing, in industrial settings as well as other hazardous applications.

Based in Lubeck, Germany since 1889, Draegerwerk AG develops, produces and sells devices and systems in the areas of safety, medical and aerospace technology. In addition to production plants in Germany, Australia, China, Great Britain, India, the Netherlands and the United States, Draeger has sales and service centers in more than 100 countries.
