W&WD Presents WWEMA/W&WD Scholarship at WWEMA Annual Meeting

Every year, W&WD supports future water and wastewater professionals through the WWEMA/W&WD Scholarship by award $1,000 to a student seeking a career in a water- or wastewater-related field. W&WD Managing Editor Elisabeth Lisican announced this year's winner, Kyra Z. Salamon, on Friday, Nov. 6, at the WWEMA Chairman's Award Reception & Dinner in Dallas, Texas.

California City Selects Sludge Treatment Equipment

The city of Riverside, Calif., recently selected Huber Technology Inc. to provide sludge dewatering and membrane bioreactor (MBR) protection equipment for a series of upgrades to its facility.

Huber was first selected to provide the Rotamat perforated plate screen (RPPS) fine screen for MBR protection as a part of its $200 million MBR upgrade project. In a separate purchase, the company was also selected to provide sludge dewatering equipment as part of a separate project to upgrade their sludge treatment system.

Based on its recent analysis of the solid/liquid separation technology market, Frost & Sullivan has recognized Huber Technology Inc. with the 2013 North American Frost & Sullivan Award for Customer Service Leadership. The company’s focus on factors such as service quality, timeliness of service, impact on overall customer value and mitigating costs showcases its pursuit of customer service excellence. Wisconsin Plant Achieves Net-Zero Energy

Huber Technology, a manufacturer of wastewater treatment solutions for municipal, industrial and institutional markets, has been selected to provide its BT medium temperature belt dryer in an upcoming project for the Sheboygan (Wis.) Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
