Columbian Steel Tank and Peabody TecTank Merge

CST Industries, Inc., Kansas City, Kansas has merged Columbian Steel Tank Co. and Peabody TecTank. The newly formed business has been named Columbian TecTank. The Peabody TecTank assets were recently acquired by CST Industries from the A.O. Smith Corp. Columbian Steel Tank Co. was acquired by CST Industries in 2000.

"The merger allows us to focus on innovative tank design and manufacturing technology," Don Wagner, CST Industries chairman and CEO, said. "Our goal is to provide the highest quality, most economical storage tanks for our target markets.

Wagner also announced that: Ron Stier has been named president of Columbian TecTank; Ray Whalon - vice president manufacturing; Charles Spears - vice president sales; and Bruce Rumple - director of engineering. The offices are located at 5400 Kansas Ave., Kansas City, KS.
