City of Cleveland Requests Assistance

The City of Cleveland Div. of Water is in urgent need of two 24-in. Victaulic couplings

The City of Cleveland Div. of Water is in urgent need of two 24-in. Victaulic couplings. The city has experienced a failure on a 24-in. main coming out of a treatment plant that affects the entire first high pressure district.

The city has contacted the manufacturer and has learned that replacement couplings will take up to a week to arrive. A temporary workaround has been implemented to serve the area, but it is unclear how long the solution will last.

If anyone has two 24-in. Victauclic couplings, style 44, with E gasket, plated bolts and shop primer coated, part No. C240044PE0, please contact Melinda Raimann, administrative manager at the Cleveland Div. of Water at 216.664.2444, ext 5638 until 4:30 PM EST or 216.374.7044 anytime. Alternatively, contact Kim Thompson, chief of distribution, at 216.348.7277, ext 3405, or 216.857.7535. Arrangements will be made for pick-up and replacement when the new parts are received.
