Chemilizer Products Inc., Largo, Fla., manufacturer of environmentally friendly, non-electric chemical metering equipment, has been acquired by Hydro Systems Co. Hydro Systems is an independent manufacturer of chemical proportioning and dispensing systems and an operating unit of Dover Corp. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Hydro Systems Co. was established in 1963 as a manufacturer of pressure washing equipment. The company has since re-focused its efforts on the fast-developing dilution control market. In 1997, Hydro Systems became part of the Dover Corp., a Fortune 500 company and a global producer of equipment for a wide range of markets.
Hydro Systems’ products aim to accurately dilute and dispense concentrated chemicals so that they can be safely and effectively used for commercial cleaning and other applications. These products are most commonly used in the food service, hospitality, education, automotive care and industrial markets. The acquisition of Chemilizer gives Hydro Systems an entry into Chemilizer’s core markets, including animal health, agriculture, horticulture, landscaping and water treatment.
