Announced at WEFTEC.05, CH2M Hill, a global engineering services firm, has completed the acquisition of BBS Corp., a firm specializing in planning, design and construction of water and wastewater treatment, distribution and collection systems.

Since 1937, BBS has developed a reputation for designing and engineering high-quality water and wastewater treatment, conveyance and distribution systems for its clients.
The firm has completed more than 200 water system projects for clients including the city of Columbus, Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati, and District of Columbia Water and Sewerage Authority.
Through the acquisition, CH2M Hill is able to enact key company strategies including leveraging the company's reputation and staff to expand work for key clients in the Ohio market; acquiring increased capacity to deliver in the region in the area of conveyance and wet weather treatment and experience; leveraging a local east coast presence; and positioning the company in Ohio's emerging design-build market.
