Next presentation in company’s speaker series will summarize membrane applications and performance for potable water treatment
“MF/UF for Water Treatment,” the next in a series of Insight H2O webcasts developed by Black & Veatch to share water and wastewater treatment expertise, will air May 11 at 2:30 p.m., EDT.
The session will feature Gary Witcher, membrane water treatment manager for the California Water Service Co., and Scott Freeman, membrane technology leader for Black & Veatch, in a discussion of microfiltration and ultrafiltration (MF/UF) membrane application and performance for water treatment. The two presentations will include discussion of available membrane products, including the comparatively new ceramic membranes; options for piloting and design; and observations about construction, startup, and operating methods.
Witcher’s presentation will highlight his experience managing operations at two membrane water treatment plants as well as knowledge gleaned from a third under construction. Freeman will draw from more than 25 years as a water treatment membrane filtration specialist with Black & Veatch. The webcast will be of interest to treatment plant owners who currently operate membrane plants as well as those planning to do so or who wish to learn more about installing MF/UF.
