Aquatech China to Address Solutions for Chinese Water Challenges

May 23, 2014
The event will introduce the first Industrial Leaders Forum in China

The seventh edition of Aquatech China will reflect the high demands for water technology solutions in a country where the growing need for water exceeds the supply. The Chinese water sector is facing enormous challenges and Aquatech China, held from June 25 to 27, 2014 in Shanghai, offers a platform for all water professionals to come together and find solutions for these challenges.

Since the exhibition was launched in 2008, Aquatech China has grown rapidly. In addition to increasing in terms of space, the number of exhibitors and visitors has risen by almost 50% a year, reflecting the need for high-end water technology solutions in the exciting Chinese water sector.

Aquatech China is a leading trade exhibition for process, drinking and wastewater. The exhibition offers 75,000 sq meters of water technology solutions and more. Visitors from all over Asia and elsewhere will be able to get up to speed with the latest trends and developments during events such as the Water Treatment Engineering Conference for Environmental Protection in East China; the first Industrial Leaders Forum China; AquaStages and a Pumps Technology Summit. Aquatech China is co-located with FlowEx China, which focuses on pumps, valves and pipes.

As industry in China continues to expand, industrial companies that consume a great amount of water in their processes need to respond to the challenges of water shortage and pollution. This requires reducing the water-related impact of their internal and external value chain operations, and committing to an improved and sustainable way of using water.

The organizers of Aquatech Global Events understand the importance of promoting sustainable water consumption and have made the Industrial Leaders Forum an important part of all Aquatech exhibitions. Industrial leaders such as Yanjing Beer, H&M, Coca-Cola and Akzo Nobel will share their water stewardship journey and also participate in the panel discussion together with organizations such as WWF and China Water Risk. The audience will include corporate leaders, sustainability managers, heads of environment, health and safety departments, risk managers, operations and engineering VPs, as well as representatives from non-governmental organizations and water technology companies.

The active involvement of the financial and advisory sectors in the form of HSBC and McKinsey completes the debate and reflects the need for the industry to actively seek new strategic partnerships and solutions.
