AquaCell Hires First Manufacturers' Rep Firm For Purific Cooler Retail Sales

April 8, 2002

AquaCell Technologies, Inc. announced that its Global Water-Aquacell subsidiary hired its first manufacturers' sales rep firm, B3W Inc., with a sales force of 24 people, to sell the company's patented self-filling Purific Water Cooler to office supply retailers and wholesalers in the Western region.

"We view manufacturer's representative sales organizations (reps) as a significant means of obtaining retail and wholesale distribution because they have well established relationships with the various companies to which they sell and with the decision makers," said AquaCell's CEO James C. Witham. "We researched several firms to represent us to the office supply market, including to retailers with whom we are already working. In our selection process, we felt it was important that our first rep firm be of the highest quality.

"B3W came highly recommended by a major retailer of office supplies and we are pleased to be represented by B3W for the markets they cover. This is our first step in establishing a nationwide rep network to target specific markets within the retail and wholesale arenas."

Mike Ferry, B3W's president said: "We are excited about working with AquaCell and selling the Purific coolers to office supply and furniture companies within our territory. We believe this is a great product that fits well within our area of expertise and with our customer base."

B3W's strength lies not only in its size, but also in its approach to the market. The company is well established and motivated to produce high sales volume, having an intimate understanding as to how each of their customers can best be reached.

B3W, with headquarters in Southern California, was established in 1970 and has regional offices in Northern California, Arizona and Colorado with a sales force that covers California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Hawaii, Colorado, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, Oregon, Washington and Idaho. B3W represents an array of office products including consumable items such as labels and file folders, as well as office furniture.
