The Water Quality Association is gearing up for another successful trade show this year. WQA Aquatech USA 2006, The Water Opportunity Show, will be held March 28 to April 1 in Chicago.
“Early indicators show that this will be our largest convention yet,” said Peter Censky, executive director of the WQA.
Censky expects to see 350 leading business suppliers, manufacturers and industry experts occupying 650 booths, and attracting more than 5,000 attendees.
In addition, the show will offer more than 60 educational/training sessions, covering topics ranging from business and technical issues to management, sales and customer service. Other attractions include Meet the Expert sessions at the WQA booth and Education Spotlights during the trade show.
“There are ample opportunities to learn and better one’s business by attending this event,” Censky said. “Because the convention encompasses the household, commercial, industrial and ultrapure markets, there is something for everyone in the water treatment industry—all conveniently orchestrated under one roof.”
This year, the Inter-American Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (AIDIS) will hold its VII Regional Conference in conjunction with WQA Aquatech USA. AIDIS is a non-profit, scientific society dedicated to environmental, sanitary and health preservation that reaches 32 countries in the Americas and the Caribbean.
“This is exciting because it brings an entirely new group to the event that we might not otherwise reach. AIDIS expects to bring 200 to 300 people to the event,” Censky said.
At last year’s show in Las Vegas, the water industry witnessed the benefits of WQA’s partnership with Amsterdam RAI, a major show producer known for its Aquatech Amsterdam show, which takes place every two years. The revamped show brought together residential, commercial, industrial, high purity/ultrapure as well as some wastewater and municipal water vendors. The show surpassed expectations, breaking attendance records with 4,467 attendees, 331 companies and 599 booth spaces.
This year, WQA has expanded the most successful aspects of last year’s show, such as the Meet the Expert sessions, for WQA Aquatech USA 2006.
The trade show exhibition will take place March 29 to 31, and the conference will take place March 28 to April 1 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, two miles east of O’Hare International Airport.
