Lev Nelik: Dr. Lev Nelik, P.E., Apics, President of Pumping Machinery, has over twenty years of engineering, manufacturing, management, sales and field experience in the pump industry.
Prior to forming Pumping Machinery, Dr. Nelik was President of Liquiflo Equipment. Prior to that he worked at Roper Pump as Vice President of Engineering, and at Ingersoll-Rand and Goulds Pumps in various positions in engineering, design and production.
Dr. Nelik is an Advisory Committee Member of the Texas A&M International Pump Users Symposium, a former Associate Technical Editor of the Journal of Fluids Engineering, and a Co-Editor of Pump Magazine. He is a Full Member of the ASME, and Apics Certified. He is a graduate of Lehigh University with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Manufacturing Systems.
As a Registered Professional Engineer Dr. Nelik has published over fifty documents on pumps and related equipment worldwide, including a "Pumps" section of the Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology (John Wiley), a section for the Handbook of Fluids Dynamics (CRC Press), and a book "Centrifugal and Rotary Pumps: Fundamentals with Applications", by the CRC Press. He has traveled extensively, and consulted worldwide on pumps reliability, design, pump/system analysis and troubleshooting.
