Robert R. Hearne

Robert R. Hearne:

Dr. Robert R. Hearne has been an Assistant Professor at the Department of Agribusiness and Applied Economics at North Dakota State University since 2002. His research has focused on water resources management, water institutions, the valuation of non-market environmental goods and services, and environmental policy. Bob has a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota, a M.S. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Kentucky and a B.A. from Georgetown University. He was previously employed at the Tropical Agriculture Higher Education and Research Center (CATIE) in Turrialba Costa Rica, the International Institute for Environment and Development in London, UK, and at the World Bank. Dr. Hearne’s recent research includes the analyses of institutional change in the water sector. He has professional experience in 19 countries.
