2016 Design-Build for Water/Wastewater Conference

April 20, 2016 - April 22, 2016

Location: Charlotte, NC

The 2016 Design-Build for Water/Wastewater Conference will be held April 20 to 22 in Charlotte, N.C., at the Charlotte Convention Center.

Building on the success of 2014, the Design-Build Institute of America, the American Water Works Assn., and the Water Environment Federation announced that more than 900 professionals attended the 2015 Design-Build for Water/Wastewater Conference in San Antonio. Nearly 10% of the participants were public and private owner organizations.

The 2015 conference featured more than 20 educational programs and networking events, all geared towards teaching how to save time, control costs and increase the quality of the nation’s water/wastewater construction projects through utilizing design-build best practices. Several sessions highlighted the Water Markets Committee work on a water/wastewater sector specific guide released in time for the conference.

The conference closed with a panel of public owners from San Francisco Public Utilities, San Antonio Water System, Miami-Dade Water and Sewer and the City of Winnipeg. These representatives discussed their upcoming CIPs and how their agencies are making the shift from traditional design-bid-build to design-build.
