2013 WWD Scholarship Winner Named

Last week at the 105th WWEMA Annual Meeting, held at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club in Ponte Vedra, Fla., Water & Wastes Digest Managing Editor Elizabeth Lisican recognized the 2013 WWEMA/WWD Scholarship award winner, Anthony Picozzi.

Picozzi is the son of Anthony Picozzi, vice president of sales at GP Jager & Associates. He is pursuing a degree in biology, environmental studies and Spanish at Washington & Jefferson College. His extracurricular activities include varsity swimming for Washington & Jefferson College; his role as president of Alpha Phi Omega, Mu Upsilon Chapter, National Service Fraternity; and membership in Alpha Lambda Delta, the National Honor Society, and Sigma Delta Pi, the National Spanish Language Honor Society.

As part of the annual scholarship award, WWD provides $1,000 to a student accepted to a college or university to pursue a career in the environmental sciences, and who has a parent employed by a WWEMA-member company.

WWD will begin accepting applications for the 2014 scholarship in the spring of 2014.
