2006 Intelligent Use of Water Panel to Address the Current State of Outdoor Water Conservation

Jan. 3, 2006

Rain Bird Corp., a manufacturer and provider of irrigation products and services, has assembled a panel of water conservation experts to lead a discussion on global water conservation initiatives and strategies relating to landscape irrigation. The Intelligent Use of Water panel will take place at the Pasadena Hilton in Pasadena, Calif., on January 4.

On the heels of a recent U.N. study stating that in the year 2020, the world's conflicts will be a result of water rather than oil, finding a solution to the impending water crisis is now a top priority among the world's socially responsible leaders.

Created to serve as a forum to further define the relationship between water conservation and landscape water use, the Intelligent Use of Water panel will provide insight and perspective on the relationship between water conservation policies and legislation, the programs and initiatives to bring greater awareness to the need for water conservation and the irrigation industry altogether.

Members of academia, media, government, landscape architecture, horticulture and municipal water agencies will define the relationship between water conservation and landscape water use, and provide insight and perspective on various global water conservation policies, programs and trends towards greater awareness of the need for water conservation.
